Nookd is licensed to you under Apple's standard licence agreement for App Store apps. These terms add what is specific to Nookd: your password, the free version and subscriptions.
The licence
Your use of Nookd is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), with NOMUD as the licensor. These terms supplement it; where they differ, the Standard EULA applies.
Your password and your files
- Your password is the only key to your files. We never receive it and cannot reset or recover it, so a forgotten password means the files encrypted with it cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
- Your files sync through your own iCloud account, so syncing depends on Apple's iCloud service and the storage available in your account.
- Keep separate copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
- You are responsible for what you store in Nookd and for using it lawfully. We can't see your files.
Free version and subscriptions
- Nookd is free for the first 100 files in each profile. A subscription removes that limit.
- Two auto-renewing subscriptions are offered: Spare Key, billed monthly, and Skeleton Key, billed yearly. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
- If a subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your first 100 files in each profile keep opening; the rest keep their thumbnails and can still be moved, shared or deleted, and open again when you subscribe.
Changes to Nookd
We may update Nookd and these terms. If a change to these terms matters to how you use Nookd, we'll update this page and the date at the top before it takes effect.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, Nookd is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for loss of data or for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live that cannot be limited.
